• To ensure we never expose our users to the things we hate: dark patterns, spam, distractions, buzzwords, ads, and bugs.

History

Mapperoni, formerly known as canvis.app, was created in 2018 because the founder was struggling to find the right tool to use for his Master's Thesis project.

It was relaunched as Mapperoni in 2025 after a small but passionate group of users demanded new features and improvements.
